The 3 C’s in life: Choice, Chance, Chance. You must make the choice, to take the chance, if you want anything in your life to change. At the end of the day when it comes to elevating yourself to your next version, it comes down to CHOICE. Any practitioner can give you tool after tool and session after session, however, the choice to take the action is up to you.

Insert your answers to these reflection questions:

  1. Who do you want to be 5 years from now?
  2. Who do you want to help every day?
  3. How do you want to be remembered?

Remember, it is your life and you are in the driver’s seat. Putting yourself as a priority is not selfish, it’s self-care.

Sustainable Change

Creating sustainable changes in your mindset is just the start to creating change in all areas of your life. As you start to manifest your dream life and take the appropriate action towards each goal, you will start to notice all 5 areas of your personal growth will strengthen for the better, improving the relationship you have with yourself and with others.

5 areas of personal growth:

  • Mental growth: How your cognitive functions affect your behaviour.
  • Social growth: Improving your communication skills.
  • Spiritual growth: Connecting with yourself on a holistic level, developing as a person, and finding inner peace.
  • Emotional growth: The development and management of your feelings and how you react to situations.
  • Physical growth: Taking care of your body and using it in productive ways including fueling your body and mind with nourishing, well-balanced meals and adequate physical activity.

No matter what stage you are at on your personal development journey, the power of support will positively influence you on your path, helping you through the tough times, so you can elevate into your higher self.

Meet Alma

Postgraduate Diploma of Counselling

My passion lies in holistically supporting people on their unique journey of life. I believe every person has an innate capacity for healing. In my work, I use person-centered talking therapy and somatic practices to support you to overcome the challenges you are facing. I hold a powerful healing space, characterised by trust and choice that will support you feel safe enough to express what you are going through. It will also help you to discover resources that you can use in your healing and growth.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma of Counselling and I’m registered as a clinical member with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). For the past seven years, I’ve provided counseling support to individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, each presenting with their unique difficulties. These have included substance use, mental health, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, trauma, family violence, gambling, and eating issues.

I’m also an accredited Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) and aside from facilitating yoga classes in the general community, I offer trauma-informed classes at the withdrawal unit, De Paul House, and at Melbourne Drug Court. My approach to facilitating yoga classes is influenced by my therapeutic understanding, which results in the classes being an accessible and safe space.
